If you want to prepare your own wort from grains, you need a mashing equipment. Having such, you'll be able to brew any beer you like. The process includes four steps: Mashing - Lautering - Boiling - Chilling. This takes round about 6 hours. No matter how much beer you brew, it takes always six hours.
