This beer has little in common with what is now served as 'altbier'. Discovered while digging through the bewing notes of my grandfather, this recipe is a real treasure. A true beer for the dark beer connoisseur! A deep copper-brown color coming from strong roasted malts with nobel hop varities giving this beer a truely unique flavor. Top-fermenting yeast leaves slightly fruity notes, which make this beer oh so very tasty.
